To chronicle my sometimes interesting experiences, deep and intriguing thoughts and accomplishments, such as they are. Mostly so I don't feel guilty that I don't keep a journal.

Juanita Garcia Holden
Our dear friend and wife of our bishop in Harker Heights died very unexpectedly on Monday. Sister Holden was so good to our family during our time in Harker Heights particularly when Paul was deployed. We ate at her table, she attempted to teach me how to make tortillas and she was always ready with an encouraging word or smile when I was down. She always looked so amused when I was dragging one of the kids out of sacrament meeting, she would wink at me and remind me that I needed to calm down and not take things too seriously. All the time she was doing the same for everyone else in the ward.
We're going to her funeral today and we're sad.
